In try­ing to decide whether to attend the Emer­ald City Writ­ers Con­fer­ence in Octo­ber, I’ve come to a pro­found real­iza­tion: I’m not a face-to-face per­son. Sure there are some friends I enjoy spend­ing time with, and I love my fam­ily, but I pre­fer by busi­ness rela­tion­ships vir­tual. This flies in the face of com­mon wis­dom.
